Billing Operator Based Rating

I-CONN uses an elaborate system of EDR aggregation. This approach sorts and combines the EDRs by a series of criteria such as the network operators name, destination, product type, point of interconnect, time of day or date, etc. The resulting summaries can be manipulated quickly and easily. I-CONN also contains features for monitoring and controlling processes, including exception handling, re-rating and the undo functionalities.

Compound Rating

I-CONN provides powerful and flexible rating engine that allows compound rating scenarios to support the diverse and changing needs of Voice, SMS, MMS, VAS, etc. These different services require different rating scenarios such as: rating per unit, rating per second, rating per volume, etc. I-CONN is compliant with most up-to-date rating models.

Import Wizards

The Graphical User Interface (GUI) used in I-CONN is very powerful and yet very intuitive and easy to use enabling services to be added in the shortest time possible. The included wizards which are used to import the Rates, CNPs, Zones and Routes immediately check for duplicate or non-consistent import entries.

Rating at the EDR Level

I-CONN is a fully-fledged system capable of successfully handling Inter Carrier Billing (ICB) operations. I-CONN offers the complete rating of data (SMS) and content (MMS) traffic, in addition to traditional voice traffic for a variety of different scenarios and rules.

Rerating

Due to the frequent change of tariff rates the flexibility to update and amend rates accurately whilst preventing errors and delays in realising interconnect revenues is needed. To satisfy these needs a rerate option is included. Rerating can be performed for a either a single EDR or a group of EDRs which can be selected using predefined criteria. The rerate option is very easy to operate and extremely flexible, the system also includes intelligent re-pricing features, which minimise the opportunity for errors.

EDR Extract

The extraction of EDRs is also possible and includes the ability to specify different filtering criteria which gives you greater flexibility in the selection of EDRs to be extracted. Numerous other sorting options are also available both before and after the filtering process. The extracted records are delivered in a CSV file format (Comma Separate Value). Additional file formats are very easy to implement also, if required.

Drill Down

I-CONN provides the ability to drill down to the EDR level that assures accurate rating and fast resolution in case disputes arise.

Customised Reporting

I-CONN has the built in ability to create fully customised reports that can be viewed in various styles. Creating reports is easily achieved simply by dragging the required fields from the available lists into the required position, this totally eliminates the need for any prior SQL knowledge. In I-CONN powerful reports can be easily created and exported by users in no time at all.

Activity Log

All user activity is recorded and stored in the activity log. Authorised personnel can access these records and view the activity of a specific user (by name) and/or specific user session (time period) or for all users and/or a specific time period.

Authorisation

Rates, CNPs, Routes and Billing Details that require authorisation can be dealt with easily in real-time using the included Interactive service authorisation feature.

Archiving

Various archiving options are included in I-CONN which allows the secure storage of data for further use if needed. Access to the secure archived data is granted only to authorised personnel.
